About Madu River
Madu River is a wetland, near the Small town "Balapitiya" along the Colombo Galle highway. This is the point where the Estuary of the Madu river. The river flows through a terrain where it creates a large number of islands, and the eco system creates a beautiful wetland.Those who are interested in the environment and biodiversity of Sri Lanka and those who want to spend their leisure time in the midst of quiet and beautiful scenery.We can imagine that there are many rivers in Sri Lanka. But Madugaga, which starts from a mountain peak in the Uragasmanhandiya area and covers a short distance of about six miles, is so important to Sri Lanka and why it attracts the hearts of local and foreign tourists. That is what we are going to talk about today. The most unique feature of Madugaga is that it is able to create many islands in the environment. It is said that the size of this island is 64.
